Brief Biography
Bryan leads development of strategic international research partnerships for the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS). He is seconded to the IPPC Secretariat where he supports governance, networking, and partnerships on technical exchange for phytosanitary measures. Bryan is primarily focused on coordinating the formation and operationalization of governance structures for the Africa Phytosanitary Programme (APP). He also supports IPPC’s work on strengthening plant protection infrastructures, communication, outreach, advocacy for standard setting and implementation to promote scientifically based phytosanitary measures.
