Summary

This is the first report of Thrips parvispinus (Tobacco thrips) in Barbados. Samples were sent to the CABI diagnostic and advisory service to be identified. Currently the pest is under surveillance.

Tobacco thrips is known to be a pest of a wide variety of plants (ornamental and crop).
