Phytosanitary treatments on fruit fly can now move forward

The Technical Panel for Phytosanitary Treatments (TPPT)) just ended their annual meeting in Tokyo today (2 September 2016) where they reviewed scientific data from a recent study carried out by the Joint Food and Agriculture and International Atomic Energy Agency Division of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture. July Meeting for the Technical Panel on Phytosanitary Treatments

This month, on 8-12 July 2013, the Technical Panel on Phytosanitary Treatments (TPPT) met in Fukuoka, Japan, hosted by Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Government of Japan (MAFF). The TPPT is responsible for evaluating data submissions from NPPOs and RPPOs, reviewing, revising and developing phytosanitary treatments, and providing guidance to the Standards Committee (SC) regarding specific phytosanitary treatment issues. At their July meeting, discussions focused on the review and adjustment of the TPPT Work Programme. Call for Experts to take part in the TPPT, TPDP and TPG.

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting nominations for appropriately qualified experts to take part in the Technical panel for phytosanitary treatments (TPPT) and the Technical panel for the glossary (TPG). Nominations are due 31 August 2012.
