Geographical Distribution
In February 2017, B. cockerelli was reported from near Perth, Western Australia. B. cockerelli has previously (in February 2014) been detected in Norfolk Island.
ملخص

Eradication of B. cockerelli from Western Australia is not considered technically feasible and will transition to a management phase, limiting and managing the impact of the tomato-potato psyllid. The bacterium that causes zebra chip, Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum has not been detected in Australia. Surveillance for the bacterium is continuing.

Movement restrictions are in place for host material from Western Australia and Norfolk Island to the other states and territories in Australia. The absence status of B. cockerelli from the remaining Australian states and territories is supported by surveillance undertaken by each state and territory.

Danger
B. cockerelli (Tomato-potato psyllid) is a significant pest of Solanaceous crops and is no longer eradicable from Western Australia after being initially reported in February 2017. B. cockerelli is subject to official control in Western Australia and Norfolk Island. Tomato-potato psyllid is absent from all other Australian states and territories.
