Short Description

Import in the Netherlands has to comply with the European legislation.
Many procedural requirements are described in the Official Control Regulation (OCR); (EU) 2017/625 and adhering implementing and delegating acts (see link below). Phytosanitary requirements are described in the Plant Health Regulation (PHR); (EU) 2016/2031 (see link below) and adhering implementing and delegating acts. For detailed information on the regulation of Plants, plant products and harmful organisms Regulation (EU) 2019/2072 is important (see link below).

These requirements can be found on the relevant EU websites (see links below). In addition an abstract with more detailed guidance for Additional Declarations (AD) is available on the website of the Netherlands NPPO. Follow the link:
