ملخص

Erwinia amylovora (Ea) was confirmed in 3 apple trees in one orchard in the southern part of HAN river in Korea on 14 May 2016 by molecular techniques. This orchard is located in Anseong, approximately 200m away from the nearest outbroken orchard in 2015. The first official survey in 2016 was conducted in 25 April - 6 May 2016 in 5km radius of the outbreak area of 2015. The Government of Republic of Korea established "Infected Areas" within 100m radius from the infected trees, "Control Areas" within 2km radius from the infected trees and ''Regulated Areas" within 5km radius from the infected trees. All the host plants is destroyed in the Infected area, and monitoring and spraying of agricultural antibiotics and pesticide will be conducted in the Control and Regulated areas.

Three more official surveys will be conducted in 2016 focused on Ea, especially the 2nd (23 May~) and the 3rd (27 June~ ) surveys will cover all the orchards with host plants nation-wide. The results of further survey will be updated.

In 2015 Ea was detected in 46 orchards (42.9 ha) in 3 cities (Anseong, Cheonan and Jecheon) in Rep. of Korea and all the host plants within 100m radius of the infected trees had been destroyed and the official eradication program is on-going.

Danger
The pathogen could be introduced by plant for planting and cause decrease of the yield of pear and apple. It is known that introduction by commercial fruits is unlikely.
