CPM-20: Objections to draft ISPMs received

The IPPC Secretariat informs the plant-health community that by the 16 February 2026 deadline, it had received two objections to the draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) that were to be presented to the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM-20) in March 2026 for adoption. These are:

  1. Draft annex to ISPM 23: Field inspection (2021-018), from United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; and

  2. Draft revision of ISPM 26: Establishment and maintenance of pest free areas for tephritid fruit flies (2021-010), from Chile on behalf of Argentina, Bolivia (Plurinational State of), Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay (Comité de Sanidad Vegetal del Cono Sur (COSAVE) member countries).
