IPPC Global Workshop on Systems Approaches

The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated IPPC Global Workshop on Systems Approaches will take place from 1 to 5 December 2025, in Santiago, Chile.

Proposed during the 19th Session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) in March 2025 and confirmed by the CPM Bureau, the workshop is being organized by the IPPC Secretariat in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), the Chilean NPPO and Comité de Sanidad Vegetal del Cono Sur (COSAVE), as well as IPPC contracting parties, including Australia, Canada, and the United States of America.

Up to 100 participants are expected to attend, including representatives from NPPOs, RPPOs, and key stakeholders, to discuss the application of systems approaches in international trade. Participants will engage in technical sessions, share national experiences, contribute to programme discussions, and join a field visit.

The call for participants will be launched in early September 2025. Details on how to apply, selection criteria, workshop agenda highlights, and financial support opportunities will be provided at that time.
