The IPPC Secretariat is pleased to announce the release of a new study: Assessing and advancing phytosanitary capabilities in targeted countries in Eastern and Southern Africa: a pathway to resilient agriculture.

This publication presents an overview of the common phytosanitary capacity development needs and priorities identified through the Phytosanitary Capacity Evaluations (PCEs) conducted in eleven Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) countries. The PCEs in these countries were carried out under the EU-funded project “Strengthening Food Control and Phytosanitary Capacities and Governance”.

The study is published in English, and can be downloaded here.
