National implementation of ISPM 15

Short Description

In order to implement the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) No. 15 for export of solid wood packing material 'The special register for firms producing wooden objects complying with phytosanitary requirements' has been established for companies dealing with production and treatment of wooden packing including pallets. The Wood Technology Institute in PoznaÅ„, with acceptance of the State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service, supervises registration of interested firms and their compliance with phytosanitary requirements, concerning kiln drying process in particular, and issues special certificates while granting individual registration numbers to mark products. The registered companies are allowed to use on their products a certification mark in compliance with ISPM 15.
