Update: Items not requiring a Plant Import permit

Short Description

Plant Quarantine Services (PQS), Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Trinidad and Tobago has advised that Plant Import Permits will no longer be issued for the following items: Dried Herbs and Spices that undergo sterilization; Oats; Roasted Nuts; Malted Barley; Parboiled Rice; Medium-density Fibre Board (MDF) and Particle Board; and Flour (not of vegetable origin). Additionally, plant import permits will no longer be required for the importation of the following commodities: Corn Grits; Tapioca; Cooked Cereal; flour and industrial products made of cereal or oil seeds and processed animal feed.

Phytosanitary Certificates will also not be required for the above items.
