The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment works with its stakeholders to maintain and improve plant health in Australia. Australia has well established government–industry arrangements to support the national plant health system. These arrangements include a number of national committees and emergency response arrangements established to assist in effective consultation and decision-making relating to plant protection.
