The NPPO of Japan issued the new form of phytosanitary certificate and re-export certificate in line with the models described in the Annex of the IPPC Revised Text of 1997. The forms are printed on the paper which has background print of pale green letters "Japanese Government Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Plant Protection Service". Phytosanitary certificate and re-export certificate in new form are issued from 2 October 2006. Therefore both certificates in old form and certificates in new form will be used for a while. However, old certificates will be replaced by new ones shortly.
