Dr Sharma is working as a Joint Secretary for Ministry of Agricultural and Livestock Development and responsible as Chief in Plant Quarantine and Pesticide Management Centre. He is also head of NPPO, Nepal. He did his PhD in Pesticide Management and M. Sc. Ag in IPM. He is also member expert for Implementation and Capacity Development Committee(IC) of IPPC from Asia region.
