The Plant Protection and Inspection Services (PPIS) of the Ministry of Agriculture in Palestine is responsible for the enforcement of laws and regulations and provision of professional services in respect of plant protection, monitoring and prevention of plant pests; as well as regulates the import and export of agricultural produce. the PPIS , as much as possible, performers these function in compliance with international Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) norms is required under the WTO agreement: -The GD of PPIS consist of 6 departments as follow: 1-Plant Pest Monitoring & Control Department 2-Agricultural Quarantine & Plant Health Department 3-Agricultural Pesticides Department 4-Plant Pest Diagnosis Department, (Plant Health Laboratory 5-Agricultural pest risk analysis Department 6-Borders Department
