Resúmen

Spodoptera frugiperda larvas were found for the first time, in the sou- thern west governorate -Dara'a ,at four rural farms of Maize plants . Typical symptoms of this pest have been seen on the effected plants . we expect that the pest arrived Syria for the first time by its natural spreed, from Jordan -the southern border of Syria-where it was found recently .
