Dear IPPC Contact Points and Distinguished IPPC Contracting Parties, The NPPO of the United Republic of Tanzania -Tanzania Plant Health and Pesticide Authority (TPHPA) wishes to inform the Plant Health Community and Contracting Parties, that Tanzania has successfully commenced the exchange of Electronic Phytosanitary Certificates (ephyto). In the same, TPHPA wishes to report that, from December 18, 2023, Tanzania will issue a new format of export and re-export phytosanitary certificates, The new format will be issued for all plants, plant products, and regulated articles. The old format may continue to exist in circulation until they are completely phased out. In the attached documents you will find the specifications of the aforementioned, I would appreciate your kind assistance in circulating to whom it concerns and acknowledge receipt of this document.
