Mr. Fedchock is currently the senior advisor to the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat. Previously, he was Coordinator of the Secretariat. He has previously held a number of positions with the USDA^^s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ)Division, including Director of International Capacity Development, Associate Executive Director of the APHIS, PPQ Plant Health Programs, and the Director of the APHIS, PPQ Phytosanitary Issues Management (PIM) staff. Before joining the PIM staff, Mr. Fedchock was the Director of Bilateral SPS Affairs at the Executive Office of the President, Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), Chief of Staff for APHIS International Services, and the Director for Asia Trade Policy in the APHIS International Services^^ Trade Support Team. While at USTR he was the lead negotiator for the United States on sanitary and phytosanitary issues in Free Trade Agreement negotiations and World Trade Organization accession discussions with several countries. Mr. Fedchock also worked in the Codex Office of the Food Safety and Inspection Service and the U.S. Department of Commerce^^s International Trade Administration. He also served as a Russian linguist in the United States Army.
