The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting submissions for experts to take part in:

• The Focus Group on Commodity and Pathway Standards

• The Technical Panel for the Glossary (TPG) – Expert for English language

Nominations are due 31 July 2018.

The Focus Group on Commodity and Pathway Standards will convene 3-5 October 2018 in Rome, Italy.

The next TPG meeting will convene 3-6 December 2018 in Rome, Italy.

The 2018 call for topics: Standards and Implementation starts on 1 May 2018 and ends on 31 August 2018. The call is made every two years. As agreed by the 13th Session of the As agreed by the 13th Session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM), the call for topics solicits proposals for both Standards and Implementation resources to be included in the IPPC work programme and to fill gaps in the Framework for Standards and Implementation. Call for discussion papers for the Expert working group (EWG) on Guidance on pest risk management (2014-001)

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting discussion papers in preparation for the meeting of the Expert Working Group (EWG) on Guidance on pest risk management (2014-001) which will take place from 5 to 9 March 2018 in Malta.

The EWG will develop a draft standard according to Specification 63 on Guidance on pest risk management (http://www.ippc.int/en/publications/81795/).

Call for experts: Expert working group (EWG) on Guidance on pest risk management (2014-001)

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting nominations for appropriately qualified experts to take part in the Expert working group (EWG) to develop a draft International standard for phytosanitary measures (ISPM) on Guidance on pest risk management (2014-001).

Nominations are due 20 September 2017.

Six to eight experts with collective expertise in:

  • conducting pest risk analyses (PRAs)
  • evaluating and selecting pest risk management options
  • applying phytosanitary measures in the international trade of plants and plant products.

Experts with extensive experience and expertise across a number of these fields will be given priority.

Implementation and Capacity Development Committee (IC) - Call for alternate member nominations from the Asia and Europe regions

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting nominations from national IPPC Official Contact Points and/or Regional Plant Protection Organizations (RPPOs) for appropriately qualified individuals to be alternate members of the new IPPC subsidiary body – the Implementation and Capacity Development Committee (IC), to replace the Capacity Development Committee (CDC). Alternate members are required to be nominated from each region to participate in meetings of the IC when the regional member is unable to attend.

The number of individuals nominated per contracting party and/or RPPO has no limitation, multiple nominations submitted will be considered.

2017 July - Sea Container Task Force - Call for Experts

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting nominations for appropriately qualified experts from contracting parties (CPs) to participate in a Sea Container Task Force to supervise implementation of the Complementary Action Plan for Assessing and Managing the Pest Threats Associated with Sea Containers.

Nominations from the national official IPPC contact point should be submitted to the CPM Bureau member from your region (with a copy to the IPPC Secretariat ippc@fao.org) by 31 July 2017.

Draft diagnostic protocols (DPs) under DP notification period

The Standard Committee (SC) approved the following draft diagnostic protocols (DPs) for the DP notification period:

  • Phytophthora ramorum (2004-013)
  • Tomato spotted wilt virus, Impatiens necrotic spot virus and Watermelon silver mottle virus (2004-019).

Contracting parties have 45 days to review the approved DPs and submit an objection, if any, along with a technical justification and suggestions for improvement of the approved DP. If no objection is received, the DP is considered adopted by the SC on behalf of the CPM.

This notification period starts on 01 July 2017 and ends on 15 August 2017.

  • one Expert working group (EWG) to develop an international standard on Authorization of entities to perform phytosanitary actions (2014-002),
  • one EWG on the Revision of ISPM 8: Determination of pest status in an area (2009-005),
  • the Technical Panel for the Glossary (TPG).

国际植物保护公约(IPPC)秘书处现正征求以下提案:

1. 拟作为国际标准通过的植物检疫处理,将收入第28号国际植物检疫措施标准 (ISPM 28) (限定有害生物的植物检疫处理)的附录部分。

2. 国际贸易中使用的植物检疫处理,将在植物检疫资源网页上发布。

植物检疫处理技术小组(TPPT)将对提案进行审查。由于该小组使用英文召开会议,因此所提交的材料最好也能以英文呈现。

您可以随时提交材料,但如果希望在2017年植物检疫处理技术小组的下一次会议上审议您的提案,请于2017年6月5日之前提交。

欢迎并接受来自缔约方或区域植物保护组织(RPPOs)的提案。提案需通过相应的国际植物保护公约官方联络点提交。

此类提案的数据将经过严格的审查,并会给出明确的效率水平说明。相关处理将按照国际植物保护公约标准制定程序进行审查。

请完整填写植物检疫处理提案表格,通过电子邮件的形式将表格及所有相关证明材料发送至国际植物保护公约秘书处(ippc@fao.org)。请在邮件的标题处注明提交国家或区域植物保护组织的名称及“Call for Phytosanitary Treatments”的字样。

提案中应包括ISPM 28 (限定有害生物的植物检疫处理)中要求及概述的全部信息,并注意参照有关证明提议主题合理性和确定其优先等级的标准。欲了解有关已通过的植物检疫处理的信息,请访问国际植物检疫门户网站(IPP),以获取ISPM 28的附件已通过的植物检疫处理

请确保将拟在植物检疫资源网页发布的植物检疫处理提案表格 中所要求的基本信息填写完整,并以邮件的方式提交至国际植物保护公约秘书处(ippc@fao.org)。同时请附上该植物检疫处理的概述文件及处理的时间表(例如工作手册或其他参考来源),以便在植物检疫资源页面发布。
