The report of the second meeting of the International Year of Plant Health Steering Committee that took place in April 2017 is now available on the IPP on the IYPH page.
The NRO Guide previously available in English and French has been translated also into Spanish and Russian and is now available on the IPP.

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat will deliver an intensive two-week training course on “Developing Phytosanitary Capacities” from Monday 29th of May until Friday 9th of June at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (CIHEAM-IAM Bari) for the second time.
This course will be provided to the 15 students of the Master 2 on Sustainable Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technologies for Mediterranean Fruit and Vegetable Crops from all over the Mediterranean. The course is also open to 10 NPPO staff, worldwide.

Mr. Peter Neimanis (Chair - ePhyto Steering Group (ESG) and Mr. Chin Karunaratne, Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, Australia met with officials of the Samoa Quarantine Service (SQS) from 1 to 8 April 2017 to discuss country implementation plans for the “Generic ePhyto National System* (GeNS). The team also met the Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Samoa. The officials also visited the quarantine cargo clearance facility at the Faleolo International Airport and conducted an industry awareness session on ePhyto plans.
