Summary

Pest initially collected as an egg mass in the Bay of Plenty and identified as FAW by the Plant Health and Environment Laboratory on 24 March 2022. Subsequently caterpillars have been detected on volunteer Zea mays plants in Waikato, Auckland, Taranaki and Gisborne regions from 11 April 2022.
