The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is calling for discussion papers in preparation for the meeting of the Expert Working Group (EWG) on the Revision of ISPM 12 (Phytosanitary certificates), which will take place from 19 to 23 October 2026 in Athens, Greece.

The EWG will work according to Specification 79 on the Revision of ISPM 12 (Phytosanitary certificates) (https://www.ippc.int/en/publications/95446/).

IPPC contracting parties, regional plant protection organizations (RPPOs) and other interested entities are invited to submit discussion papers to the IPPC Secretariat for the EWG to consider.

Papers should be submitted by sending an email to [email protected] by 14 September 2026 with a copy to Mr Descartes KOUMBA ([email protected]) and Mr Daniel TORELLA ([email protected]).

The subject line of the e-mail should read: “2026-06 – Call for discussion papers – Revision of ISPM 12 (Phytosanitary certificates) - Name of the submitting [IPPC contracting party] [RPPO] [Other entity]”.
