Summary

Eradication of Anoplophora glabripennis (ALB): In the demarcated area in Gallspach an intensive monitoring had been carried out since the completion of the eradication measures against the Asian long-horned beetle, ALB (Anoplophora glabripennis Foster). As no further live or dead stages of this EU quarantine pest could be detected during the monitoring measures since the end of 2016, i.e. for 4 years, which corresponds to at least 2 complete development cycles of the pest, it can be assumed, also in accordance with the requirements of the Implementing Decision (EU)2015/893 of 9 June 2015, that the ALB infestation detected in Gallspach, district of Grieskirchen, in early November 2013 has been eradicated. For that reason in Austria there is no demarcated area regarding Anoplophora glabripennis (ALB) left, as the infestations in Braunau and St. Georgen bei Obernberg were declared eradicated in the years 2012 and 2016.
