The disease has been found in most areas where the crop is cultivated and in all of the parishes.
Summary

This is the first reported presence of this pathogen in Barbados and was confirmed by CABI on April 16, 2010.

Danger
Fusarium udum has been reported as one of the more serious pests of pigeon pea. It causes wilting of the crop and results in the reduction in yields and often death of the plants.
