Information on merging of the State Phytosanitary Administration with the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture

Publication date
05-12-2013
Description of the mark

According to the law adopted by the Parliament of the Czech Republic, on 1 January 2014 the State Phytosanitary Administration (SPA) will merge with the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture which will become the NPPO of the Czech Republic. Therefore the SPA employees that are responsible for phytosanitary inspection, certification and authorisation of plant protection products will continue to provide these services as part of the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture. With effect from 1 January 2014 all phytosanitary certificates will be issued by the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture.

This change will not affect the legal basis or competent authority under which inspections, certifications and authorisation in the Czech Republic are undertaken, nor will it prompt any changes to the Czech Republic´s requirements relating to imported agricultural plant products. Regarding the IPPC Official Contact Point and the Country Editor nominated by the Czech Republic there will be no changes as well.

As a result of the above mentioned merge all @srs.cz email addresses will be removed and from 1 January 2014 this domain will no longer be used. The format [email protected] will be used for all e-mail correspondence with employees of the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture.
