Short Description

The Regulatory Services Department (RSD) of the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) aspires to provide an effective regulatory services for ensuring animal and plant health, safety and quality of agricultural products, inputs and sustainable use of natural resources.

The RSD was established in 2003 to regulate the agricultural sector in various ways. In brief it regulates the following: 1. Animal Resources Import inspection and export certification process Animal product inspection process in factories Feed inspection produced by feed processing plans as well as imported feed Safety and quality of drugs and biologics
2. Plant resources Import inspection and export certification processes Seed inspection and certification safety and quality of agro-chemicals (mainly pesticides)
