Short Description

We would hereby like to inform you that the security paper used for the phytosanitary certificates for export and re-export issued in Finland will change from January 1st, 2021.

The new certificate does not contain any substantive changes in comparison to previously valid forms. The changes are that the logo of the European Union has been added, the name of the competent authority in Finnish and its official translations in Swedish and English: “Ruokavirasto, Livsmedelsverket, Finnish Food Authority” remains but with smaller print and the abbreviation EC has been updated to EU in the number of the certificate.

The certificate will be continued to be printed on security paper and the watermark, the seal and the stamp remains the same.

Export certificates printed on the updated security paper will be issued starting from January 1st, 2021. Until December 31st, 2020 the Finnish Food Authority will issue phytosanitary certificates printed on the currently used security paper regardless of the date when the consignment will arrive to the country of destination.
