Summary

khapra beetle is a quarantine pest of Indonesia. any detection or interception becomes target of eradication. since 1990 there is no information on the incidence of khapra beetle. NPPO Indonesia conduct routine surveillance for monitoring quarantine pests including khapra beetle as early detection program.

Danger
No longer necessary to apply phytosanitary requirement for khapra beetle in importing commodities from Indonesia, such as a high dosage rate of fumigation.
