Danger
The coconut industry is an important one to St. Vicnent and the Grenadines given that this commodity is used extensively for fresh consumption and bottling for wider distribution. In the last six years there was a programme of expanding coconut production/plantations to provide constant supply for the coconut water bottling plant. The Presence of this pest could there adversely affect the efforts of the diversification programme.
