Short Description

IPPC Contact Point of Thailand would like to inform you that the Department of Agriculture (DoA) as NPPO of Thailand has revised the format of Phytosanitary Certificate and Phytosanitary Certificate for re-export. As a result, from the updates to the e-Phyto system used to issue paper phytosanitary certificates, the Phytosanitary Certificate issued by the DoA of Thailand will have new changes as compared to the current one. The following are the changes made to these Phytosanitary Certificates: a. It will be printed on white bond paper, A4 size. b. The PC number will be changed to ten-digit code number, for example THXXXXXXXXXX, where by - TH means Thailand - The first two-digit will specify numbers representing the year with last two digits of the Buddhist era - The third and the forth digit will specify numbers representing the months of the year - The last six-digit are the serial number of the Phytosanitary Certificate issued in order c. A unique QR code will be added on the top-left corner of the Phytosanitary Certificate which will enable your inspectors to verify the documents more conveniently. From the 1st July 2022 to the 30th of September 2022, the current phytosanitary certificate format and the new format will be used. As of the 1st of October 2022, only the new format of the phytosanitary certificates will be issued. Specimens of the new format of the Phytosanitary Certificate and Phytosanitary Certificate for re-export are attached in pdf format for your reference. In some circumstances, the shipping of consignments can take a longer period of time. So, you might still receive the old format after the 1st of October 2022. However, these certificates should have been issued before the 1st of October 2022. We kindly ask you to verify the date of issuance on the documents upon arrival of those shipments. We would like to take this opportunity to respectfully request that you notify your inspection staff on the new changes of the Phytosanitary Certificates in order to avoid any disruption of trade.
