Current situation only two islands were inffected, Nanumaga in 1994 and Vaitupu in 2004
Summary

ON the 6th September the first sign of damage was detected. To maintain the spreading during the outbreak, the infected trees were cut or trimmed and burn. The work was voluntary as every man on the island was working. the debris transported to where it burned and bury. The deAgriculture Department still waiting for the bio-agents from the SPC.
