Summary

The findings were detected in light traps at two locations in the south-east of England, which had been set by a conservation group. The origin of these moths is not known. No reports of unusual caterpillars or damage to Buxus have been received. Icklesham, East Sussex is near to the coast and an area where migrant Lepidoptera from Continental Europe are frequently found. Inspectors will be carrying out further surveillance and publicity is being arranged.
