The IPPC Secretariat has just finished posting most of the draft standards in English for CPM-7 (2012) on the IPP. Other language versions will follow shortly.
Under the regular process, we have posted 4 of the 5 standards. The fifth standard is the Russian translation of ISPM 5 which we hope to post this week.
The regular process draft standards are loaded into the IPPC Online Comment System (OCS) (ocs.ippc.int/index.html) Version 2.0 and IPPC Contact Points will receive an email when the draft standards are available for commenting in the OCS. All regular process draft standards in languages will be uploaded into the OCS as they become available and this will be the first time the OCS will have the draft standards in all FAO languages. We still wish to encourage IPPC members to provide their comments 14 days prior to CPM-7 (2012) (Sunday night 4 March 2012 at 24:00 (midnight) Rome time) in English due to the fact that the IPPC Secretariat does not have the resources available to translate comments before the CPM-7 evening sessions during which the participants will be reviewing the comments.
Under the special process, we have posted 5 of the 6 standards. The sixth standard is the diagnostic protocol (DP) Trogoderma granarium (2004-006) which the Standards Committee recently approved via e-decision. This standard is undergoing a final edit and we hope to post it on the IPP later this week. The standards under the special process are not loaded into the OCS as they are subject only to formal objection.Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
