Please be aware of SPAM, phishing, or spoofed emails that appear to come from FAO or IPPC email addresses

Posted on Wed, 15 Jul 2026, 08:12

Please be aware that cybercriminals may send spam, phishing, or spoofed emails that appear to come from FAO or IPPC email addresses. These messages can be made to look legitimate, but they may not originate from the real FAO or IPPC systems.

Before opening attachments, clicking links, or responding to any email, carefully verify the sender's address and look for signs of suspicious activity, such as unexpected requests, urgent language, or unusual links. If you are unsure whether an email is genuine, do not interact with it and report it to your IT support or security team.

Stay vigilant—taking a moment to verify an email can help protect both your personal information and the organization's systems from cyber threats.

Please note that the IPPC Secretariat's email addresses are: [email protected]
