Rome, 21 May 2021. The Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) Standards Committee Working Group (SC-7) approved four standards for second consultation during its virtual meeting. The SC-7 meeting was held on 17-21 May 2021, to examine substantive comments from the first consultation on draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs), and revise draft ISPMs as needed.
The four standards approved for second consultation are:
• Commodity-based standards for phytosanitary measures (2019-008)
• Audit in the Phytosanitary context (2015-014)
• Focused revision of ISPM 12 (Phytosanitary certificates) in relation to re-export
• Draft 2019 and 2020 Amendments to ISPM 5: Glossary of phytosanitary terms (1994-001)
The SC-7 supports the work of the Standards Committee in the detailed consideration of draft ISPMs and specifications. The SC-7 comprises seven members (one from each region) that were selected by the Standards Committee from its membership.
The next SC-7 meeting is tentatively scheduled to take place in May, 2022.
