The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) was established in 1952, and this year is 65th anniversary of the IPPC. A Reception on Celebration of the IPPC 65th Anniversary Held in FAO Headquarters

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) was established in 1952, and this year is 65th anniversary of the IPPC. On occasion of the annual meeting of the IPPC Strategic Planning Group (SPG) held at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, from 10-12 October 2017, the IPPC Secretariat organized a celebratory reception on 11 October.

The reception was officially inaugurated by Ms. Maria Helena Semedo, FAO Deputy Director-General for Climate and Natural Resources, and chaired by Mr. Jingyuan Xia, IPPC Secretary. Uruguay, August 2013- The 25th Technical Consultation among Regional Plant Protection Organizations was held in Colonia Del Sacramento, Uruguay, from 24th -30th August 2013.

Celebrating 25 years, the Technical Consultation among Regional Plant Protection Organizations is a critical element of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC). Multiple sectors come together for NAPPOs 34th annual meeting

NAPPO meeting logo - 2010Mr. Yukio Yokoi, the Secretary of the International Plant Protection Convention, attended the 34th North American Plant Protection Organization annual meeting which took place in Kelowna, British Colombia, Canada from 18 - 22 October 2010. The meeting had broad participation from the NPPOs in the region, the NAPPO and IPPC Secretariats, and also a significant number of participants from private industry groups such as landscaper, nursery, potato producers and forest products associations.
