Recording: https://fao.zoom.us (Passcode: COLEACP21+)

Languages: English with simultaneous interpretation into French, Arabic and Russian.

Join the event to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between FAO and COLEACP, to enhance global plant health.

COLEACP works through a network of companies, professional organizations and experts to strengthen the agri-food sector in 50 African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.

As e-learning courses are becoming an increasingly useful alternative to in-person training: the IPPC Secretariat and COLEACP have developed two courses for phytosanitary practitioners worldwide.

We will introduce two new e-learning courses, that will allow both self-training and long-distance tutoring:

Pest Risk Analysis (PRA): detailing all stages of PRA: Initiation, Pest risk assessment and Pest risk management, discussing the process of evaluating biological and scientific evidence to determine whether an organism is a pest, whether it should be regulated, and the strength of any phytosanitary measures to be taken against it.

Export certification: which covers the step by step aspects of the complex process of Export certification and the key processes for promoting safe trade of plants and plant products.

Funding of elearning courses: 11th European Development Fund (EDF) via the COMESA Secretariat
