Pest risk analysis (agreed interpretation): The process of evaluating biological or other scientific and economic evidence to determine if an organism is a pest, whether it should be regulated, and the strength of any phytosanitary measures to be taken against it. ISPM 5 GLOSSARY OF PHYTOSANITARY TERMS
This reference standard is a listing of terms and definitions with specific meaning for phytosanitary systems worldwide. It has been developed to provide a harmonized internationally agreed vocabulary associated with the implementation of the IPPC and ISPMs.
