2008 - Open-ended Working Group for the Development of an IPPC Capacity Building Strategy


CPM-3 agreed that an Open-ended working group on Building National Phytosanitary Capacity would be established to develop:

  • A concept paper on national phytosanitary capacity for consideration by the SPTA in 2008 for presentation to CPM-4;
  • A draft strategy for national phytosanitary capacity building for presentation to CPM;
  • A proposed operational plan for implementing the strategy over the first six years of its operation.

The meeting took place on 8 - 12 December 2008 at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. Meeting documents are given below.
