OEWG on a possible compliance mechanism for the IPPC 18-21/9/2007


This open-ended working group was held to review mechanisms used by other organizations and to explore the possibilities of such a potential compliance mechanism under the IPPC. Approximately 30 delegates and resource people took part in the OEWG.

The OEWG developed the IPPC- Implementation Review and Support System(IRSS), which built on existing, or planned, processes already approved by the CPM, with the primary objective of facilitating and promoting the implementation of the IPPC and ISPMs.
