Short Description

The Plant Quarantine and Phytosanitary Service (PQPS) of Zambia is head quartered at the Mount Makulu Research Station in Chilanga. PQPS has Plant Health Inspectors stationed at 8 entry points into Zambia as follows. Katimamulilo border (Zambia- Namibia), Livingstone (Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport), Kazungula Border ( Zambia - Botswana), Chirundu border (Zambia - Zimbabwe), Lusaka (Kenneth Kaunda International Airport), Chipata border (Zambia - Malawi), Kasumbalesa ( Zambia- Democratic Republic of Congo) and Nakonde Border (Zambia- Tanzania). Zambia also has Plant Health Inspectors stationed at inland borders as follows Kapiri Mposhi and Kabwe in the Central Region, Kasama in the Northern Region and Kafue in the Southern Region.
