The Standard Committee (SC) approved the following draft diagnostic protocols (DPs) for the DP notification period:
Contracting parties have 45 days to review the approved DPs and submit an objection, if any, along with a technical justification and suggestions for improvement of the approved DP. If no objection is received, the DP is considered adopted by the SC on behalf of the CPM.

The IPPC Secretariat is soliciting reference materials and discussion papers in preparation for the meeting of the Focus Group on Commodity and Pathway Standards, which will take place 3-5 October in Rome, Italy.
As laid out in their Terms of Reference, the Focus Group is tasked with analyzing and discussing multiple aspects of the development of commodity and pathway specific standards, and to develop recommendations and guidance for the CPM.
In order for the focus group to effectively address their tasks, CPM-13 (2018) requested IPPC contracting parties, Regional Plant Protection Organizations (RPPOs) and other interested parties to submit reference materials ...
The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting submissions for experts to take part in:
• The Focus Group on Commodity and Pathway Standards
• The Technical Panel for the Glossary (TPG) – Expert for English language
Nominations are due 31 July 2018.
The Focus Group on Commodity and Pathway Standards will convene 3-5 October 2018 in Rome, Italy.
The next TPG meeting will convene 3-6 December 2018 in Rome, Italy.
