Comité des normes (CN)


Informations générales:

Le Comité des normes (CN) a vu le jour lors de la première session de la Commission des mesures phytosanitaires(CMP-1 [2006]). Il avait été établi par la CIMP-4 (2002) pour remplacer l’ancien Comité intérimaire de fixation de normes et son prédécesseur, le Comité d’experts sur les mesures phytosanitaires (CEMP).

Le CN est composé de 25 membres issus des sept régions de la FAO. La [composition actuelle du Comité des normes] est indiquée plus bas.

Mission du CN:

Le Groupe de travail du Comité des normes (CN-7)

Sept membres du CN (un par région) sont sélectionnés par le Comité pour former le Groupe de travail du Comité des normes (CN-7). Ce dernier appuie les travaux du CN concernant l’examen détaillé des projets de NIMP et de spécifications.

Mission du CN-7:

  • Examiner l’ensemble des observations de fond (y compris les propositions de modifications) issues de la première consultation sur les projets de NIMP, qui ont été retenues par le responsable du projet de NIMP concerné.
  • Examiner et réviser les projets de NIMP préparés par les responsables à la lumière des observations reçues, et proposer des révisions au CN.
  • Rédiger les réponses du CN aux observations de fond non retenues dans le projet de NIMP, recensées par le responsable du projet.
  • Indiquer quelles modifications aux projets de NIMP doivent faire l’objet d’un nouvel examen par le CN.
  • Expliquer au CN les révisions proposées aux projets de NIMP, selon que de besoin.
  • Exécuter toute autre tâche liée aux projets de normes et de spécifications, selon ce qui est prescrit par le CN.
