Dear IPPC Members, The National Plant Protection Organisation (NPPO) of Tanzania-TPHPA wishes to officially notify the IPPC Community of the introduction of a new format of the Phytosanitary Certificate, which came into effect on 27 January 2025. In line with Article V of the IPPC, the Secretariat wishes to inform all Contracting Parties that: • The new format is now the official phytosanitary certificate issued by Tanzania. • The certificates uploaded to the IPPC Portal (publications) include both the Original and the Duplicate Copy for your reference. • These samples are provided to assist in verification, facilitate smooth trade, and ensure uniform recognition by all NPPOs and relevant stakeholders. We kindly request all IPPC members and their respective NPPOs to take note of this change and ensure that the new format is accepted in all relevant plant health certification and verification processes.
