Technical Panel on Forest Quarantine (TPFQ)

In 2015, the CPM-15 has disestablished the Technical Panel on Forest Quarantine (TPFQ). The CPM, the Standards Committee and the IPPC Secretariat thanked all experts who contributed to this work.

The Technical Panel on Forest Quarantine (TPFQ) is composed of ten members, a steward, and an assistant steward. The steward and assistant steward are representatives of the Standards Committee (SC). The TPFQ deals with technical matters regarding forest quarantine issues. It also works closely with the other technical panels (TPs), particularly the TP on Phytosanitary Treatments (TPPT) in developing guidance related to treatment for forest commodities. The TPFQ's primary function is reviewing relevant technical and scientific information to provide guidance to the SC as requested on development, amendment and revision of standards relating to forest quarantine.

One member of the TPFQ is also the Chair of International Forestry Research Group (IFQRG). IFQRG provides scientific and technical information resulting from analysis of complex phytosanitary issues.
