Call for case studies related to Plant Pest Surveillance Guide (2017-049)

The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Secretariat is soliciting:

Case studies to support implementation of ISPM 6 (Surveillance), which may be appended to the Plant Pest Surveillance Guide (2017-049).

The Plant Pest Surveillance Guide provides general guidance to National Plant Protection Organizations to support the implementation of ISPM 6 (Surveillance). The Guide is currently under revision, aligning it with the revised ISPM 6 which was adopted in 2018.

Purpose:

The IPPC Secretariat is looking for case studies that provide detailed examples of surveillance programmes or materials used to support a National Surveillance System as illustrated in ISPM 6. In addition, other materials that provide support to the use of the Plant Pest Surveillance Guide are also solicited. The case studies should focus on:

Who can contribute?

Anyone may submit case study proposals, including NPPOs, RPPOs and other organizations wishing to share their experiences and knowledge with the broader IPPC community. Please note that submissions will be reviewed by the working group for Plant Pest Surveillance Guide revision and only those recommended for inclusion will be published.

How do I prepare a case study for submission?

Please use the Case study template for IPPC guides and training materials. High quality photographs and other graphics would be highly appreciated and contributions will be referenced.

How do I submit a case study?

Please e-mail your completed case study template along with photographs and any other relevant graphics to the IPPC Secretariat ([email protected] ). Please write “Case study for Plant Pest Surveillance Guide” in the subject line of your e-mail.
