Tuta absoluta is distributed in all sampled regions in Mozambique as following:  Northern part of the country: Cabo Delagdo and Niassa provinces;  Central region: Manica, Tete and (Sofala) provinces;  South Mozambique: Maputo and Gaza provinces
Résumé

Tuta absoluta (Lepidoptera : Gelechiidae) native from South America It was recently detected in African Continent in 2006. In Mozambique, it was detected for the first time in Manica Province, Chandroca, 2016 (traps), in central part of the country. After the first detection the NPPO of Mozambique in collaboration with the Faculty of Agronomy of Eduardo Mondlane University conducted a survey in the Northern part of the country (Cabo Degado and Niassa Provinces); then in Central part of Mozambique (Manica, Tete and Sofala provinces) and; Finally in the South of the country (Maputo and Gaza provinces). The samples were sent to (ICIPE) Kenia and it was confirmed the presence of the pest in all sampled regions. In order to reduce the impact of the pest the NPPO of Mozambique organized awareness campaigns and training activities to framers, extension officers, local leaders, households, agrarian technician, etc. Also the NPPO of Mozambique together with the Pesticides companies and with the Faculty of Agronomy of Eduardo Mondlane University developed a list of registered pesticides suitable to control the pest. For the follow up actions the Mozambique NPPO developed an action plan to monitor the pest and extend the training activities at all levels.
