Résumé

Bactrocera facialis has been detected in a surveillance trap in Otara, South Auckland in February 2019. After intensive trapping and fruit monitoring, no further Bactrocera facialis has been detected. The absence of Bactrocera facialis in New Zealand has been confirmed in May 2019. The status of Bactrocera facialis in New Zealand is now Absent: pest eradicated.
