Résumé

Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean Fruit Fly) and Bactrcoera tryoni (Queensland Fruit Fly) are listed as Regulated Quarantine Pests under the First Schedule in the Control of Plants Act (Chapter 57A). From 2005 to 2011, a detection survey was conducted in Singapore for Ceratitis capitata and Bactrocera tryoni using pheromone lures - Cuelure, Methyl Eugenol and Trimedlure in fruit fly traps and post entry inspection of imported fruits. To date, both fruit flies have not been found in Singapore. The situation of C. capitata and B. tryoni in Singapore can be described as Absent: No pest records (Confirmed by survey).

Based on updated results i.e. a total of 1,895 traps and fruits sample collected from 2005 to 2016, B. tryoni and C. capitata were not found in Singapore. The survey was completed and stopped in 2016.
