Distribution géographique
Known geographic distribution in South Africa include various locations in the Western Cape Province and in Gauteng (Pretoria in city gardens). An official survey to determine the exact geographic distribution has not yet been done.
Résumé

A Whitefly that has been noticed over the last two years on many lemon trees in suburban gardens, has been identified as the wooly whitefly,Aleurothrixus floccosus (Maskell). This is the first record of this species from South Africa. Voucher specimens of A. floccosus from Stellenbosch are deposited in the South African National Collection of Insects, Pretoria, under accesssion number HA1 172. GILIOMEE J.H. & MILLAR, I.M. 2009.
